Hi all.
I've got from ftp://www.kuzbass.ru/pub/freebsd/oracle/ these packages:
oracle7.client.OCI.tar.gz (As i could think, this is a client)
and DBD-Oracle-1.06.tar.gz
Then trying to compile, i have an error:
root
hideout# set | grep ORACLE
ORACLE_HOME=/usr/local/src/oracle7
root
hideout#
perl Makefile.PL && make
...stuff cutted...
ld: /usr/local/src/oracle7/lib/libclient.a(): bad magic
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
*** Error code 1
Stop in /usr/local/src/DBD-Oracle-1.06 (line 1080 of Makefile).
root
hideout# uname -a
OpenBSD hideout 2.9 HIDEOUT#2 i386
root
hideout#
What's wrong? Btw, I have an linux compatibility packages:
rpm-3.0.6 redhat package manager
redhat_base-6.2 linux compatibility package based on Redhat
And I have kernel option:
option COMPAT_LINUX
Is there an good "howto" to compile Oracle client on OpenBSD box?? Also I
searching for an Oracle client interface for perl.
Write back.
