As several people other people have pointed out, the DJB license allows
local modification, but not distribution of those modifications in any
form other than patches. I think your and my wires got crossed; I had
local modification in mind while you were thinking of distribution (as
with the Ports system).
Oh well. Let's have an end to this thread. I'm sure everyone who wants
to will just install djbware by hand from tarballs on his web site
anyway, and that's cool.
