Greetings miscers -
While setting up an old p166 as a kerberos4 master (3.0 release),
I discovered that it didn't start the kerberos daemons on boot. After
a quick list search, I found that noone had posted this, so here goes:
In /etc/rc.conf, line 62 reads
krb4_server_kdc=YES/NO
while in /etc/rc, line 564 reads
if [ X${krb4_master_kdc} = X"YES" ];
And, since rc.conf line 64 reads
krb5_master_kdc=YES/NO
a quick vi to
krb4_master_kdc=YES
brought the daemons up on boot.
A small thing, yes, but something to remember when setting up
kerberosIV masters.
Hope this helps someone; if not now, then maybe in a mailing list
archive search at 3:00 am.
