hello list,
I am running 3.0 Release on a P75 with 16 meg of ram and a decent
(Intel) network card. This machine is acting as a dialup router doing
nat translation, I have not put any filter rules in yet. This Saturday
evening I dialed up and the box connected fine and there was no problems
for the entire day Sunday until the evening at about 10pm. All of the
sudden there was no connectivity (but the dialup link was still up).
When I did a ping from the natted windoze box to an internet IP i got
the following response:
Reply from 192.168.0.1: Source quench received
192.168.0.1 being the 3.0 dialup router. When I ping the same address
from 192.168.0.1 I get:
Ping: send to: No buffer space available
Ping: wrote x.x.x.x 64 chars, ret=-1
From what I just read the above tells me that the dialup link is
saturated but is it normal for it to cease all activity on the link.
Will it help if I increase NMBCLUSTERS and recompile.
thanks for your time and help,
Martin
