    Hello, I'm running OpenBSD 3.0 and am trying to get pptpd 1.0.2 running
    but have read that I have to disable GRE. I have downloaded the latest
    source-tree and have looked in the /usr/src/sys/arch/i386/conf/GENERIC
    file to comment out:

    'option pseudo-device GRE'

    but that line isn't in my GENERIC file. Is there another way to disable
    GRE. I've tried the:

    sysctl -w net.inet.gre.allow=0

    command but have read that it doesn't always work - since I'm getting
    the same error I assume it didn't work. This is the output from trying
    to connect from a Windows 2000 client

    pppd 2.3.5 started by bozack, uid 0
    Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/ttyp2
    LCP: timeout sending Config-Requests
    Connection terminated.
    GRE: read(fd=4,buffer=654c,len=8196) from PTY failed: status = 0 error =
    No error
    CTRL: PTY read or GRE write failed (pty,gre)=(4,5)

    Any help is greatly appreciated!
