    Hi,

I've observed a strange behavior on one of my openbsd boxes
    (3.1/macppc on iMac, Rev. A, 233, 64MB, 2 external [custom]
     harddisks).

On the first disk resides the os, on the other is a partition
(partition wd1a) spawned over the hole disk (55GB).

Sometimes openbsd loses knowledge of this partition. It cannot
be a hardware failure as I had the same effect on a earlier disk (15GB).

Data is still there (say as wd1c) but disklabel gets wiped out and
    confuses /etc/fstab...

    Any idea?

    Thanks
