I am confused about something. Perhaps someone
can enlighten me on what I'm missing.
I have 579 mp3 files which I have in my home dir
that I copied to a separate partition (/mp3). After the
cp I did a du on both sets of files and see that the
/mp3 partition is 2917281K, 280K larger than whats
in my home dir. Doing a diff on each file shows that
I have a good copy. So why doesn't du report the
same size? I'm missing something, I know.
This is a -current system though I don't think that
matters.
Thanks, --STeve Andre'
