Greetings. Finally I took the 3 cd's adn start playing
with OpenBSD 3.3 . For my bad luck things are not
going well and for what I could read using google my
problems are due to a buggy mainboard or RAM. The
server in question is a HP Netserver LC 2000 with BIOS
and firmware updated. When installing the packages (if
I can use the word) started, it returns messages like
having the files corrupted,
tar: Invalid header, starting valid header search
gzip stdin: invalid compressd data--format violated
Formatting the partitions give me some errors too,
saying that some sectors not being allocated. I know
that it's not related with the CD because I tried in a
different machine and in the HP server moving the RAM
to different slots one of the message erros during
formatation disappear. There's anything I can do to
help OpenBSD be more hardware tolerant :-)?
