ists, ftpd displays it and exits. If the file /etc/ftpwelcome
exists,
ftpd prints it before issuing the ``ready'' message. If the
welcome file
exists (/etc/motd by default), ftpd prints it after a successful
login.
I have an /etc/motd, and it doesn't get spat out after successful
login. /etc/ftpwelcome does, however. Could this be due to the user's
entry in /etc/ftpchroot?
thanks
alex
