For the record, I suspsect the issue is being somewhat misrepresented
here. Nvidia's drivers are closed sourced, usually due to issues beyond
their control. Their graphic drivers, for example, contain patented
code that they can't release.

I'd suspect that their ethernet controller is probably a rebadged
something else, and the company controlling the hardware won't let them
release docs. Or, they have similar issues like above, because nVidia
is honestly in bed with every company in existence.

Or, they could simply not give a damn.
