High power (+23 dBm in your case) is usually just a waste of battery, and not
the solution to anything. But, Engenius (actually Senao) cards have excellent
(published, at least) receive sensitivity, which is what really matters.

Not enough information except, 300MHz is plenty, so it's not that. Please post
your card config, i.e. hostname.wi0 and output from wicontrol wi0, ifconfig
wi0 and dmesg.
