I can see their point (not the point about hating you, the other point
:)). The discomfort probably stems from not being familiar with or able
to support MirBSD.

For instance someone has added a "USE_CXX=yes" flag to Gnome 2 ports in
MirBSD. I don't know what that is and I wasn't asked about it (or told
about it). Yet my name is on the Gnome 2 ports in MirBSD. The first
time I get an "I'm running Gnome 2 on MirBSD..." email I'll just stare
at the screen and go "Uuuuhhhhh, I dunno." That's not fair to your
users, is it?

Then the reason for this post is?!? :)

Well, I think this is possible... at least I'd like to think it is.

I think that's best, not just for OpenBSD porters but for MirBSD users.
Personally, those email addresses with an openbsd.org address should be
painfully obvious to MirBSD users as non-MirBSD porters, but others will
not.

I think you can't deny your OpenBSD roots. If your docs mention OpenBSD
and yet are still accurate I don't see where the harm is (I'm sure
someone will correct me).

My $.02
