Okay, but that's not the Unix philosophy as _I_ understand it
(I might be biased: I have tried to learn perl three times and
failed it, though I can usually fix minor stuff in my IRC client
sirc; I don't like perl and probably will never be able to create
a perl script from scratch.)
You might want to overthink that decision - but then, you're the
one who decides in the end, and you need not listen to me.
Still I'm one of six billion people on earth, and I don't think
I'm the only one who doesn't grok the complexity of perl.
