flinn was asking about the libmilter port. right now it's on hold and moot
until he in-tree sendmail has milter enabled by default. otherwise you
still have to rebuild sendmail, which means having the src around. the
milter port is trying to avoid that.

i want milter around, myself, but i'm not the only one who has to make
that decision.

there may be technical issues to getting milter enabled by default in
sendmail, someone was looking at it some time ago. i don't know what they
came up with. the primary issues here are breaking on other architectures
and any security/stability issues introduced. we can't step backwards as
we add new features.

so, things (like clamav) requiring milter support will have to wait a bit
longer. :-/
