console blanking problem with monochrome ISA card

From: Adam Ramadan (ramadanparcplace.ca)

Hi,

I'm trying to set up my machine so that the console to go blank when idle,
and although it seemed straightforward it doesn't seem to be working for me.
I've set the display.screen_off time and turned the display.outact to "on"
but the console doesn't blank. It's an older monochrome ISA video card (not
sure of the brand, if necessary I can open up the machine and take a look,
but I doubt that this is due to a problem with the card) that otherwise
functions properly. I've attached the my wsconsctl dump and the dmesg for my
machine.

I'm not sure it's even possible with the pcdisplay - the man page notes that
it is a minimal driver that doesn't support multiple screens, colours or
fonts, but doesn't mention screen blanking.

Any suggestions for me?

Thanks very much for you time,
Adam
