Hi,
If anyone is interested in running the seti
home client from a ramdisk (in a
farm or a stack for example) then I've created a bootable floppy disk based
upon the OpenBSD installation floppy disk (doctored over the past few nights)
which can be used for the task (I got the idea from seeing a few seti stacks
that were based upon the Linux Router Project - and that all seemed to need
recompiling building to support different network cards).
http://beast.gxn.net/mwr/seti/ is the location of the image (and general
chatter about it).
If anyone is interested in how this was done (because it may be of use for
more serious applications) then I'm happy to drop sources and config files to
a site for general viewing.
regards,
Mark Redding
