yes, and a variety of other issues for stablility under load. but such
work requires people to identify why things are slow, and not just make
random noises like "openbsd is the suck" or "i installed openbsd 2.5 and
it crashed when i made NMBCLUSTERS = 800000 so i'm never using it
again".

if you think your system is running too slow, tell us what it's doing and
why you think it's too slow. don't go tweaking every knob you can find
and complain when that doesn't help. of course it didn't. don't tell me
about your friend's computer which is twice as fast doing "almost the same
thing". there's a good chance i or someone else can tell you what the
bottleneck is, and if we can't fix, how to work around it.
