ok, here is my bad. -d is only debug and does
not write into kernel memory... so i am now
up and running.
but my other arguments still stand, or at least try to...
is it itching no one besides me that on windows you can do
this in the nic settings window and on linux you just put
the address in the networking start up scripts?
of course these were not my arguments...
these were about advocacy.
