hi there,
is it possible to make scp transfer the data unencrypted after
the authentication? i would like to copy some big files
from one machine to the other but the files itself do not
have to be encrypted, they are not secret (contrarywise,
were downloaded from public servers).
while transferring files with winscp to/from my machine
gives me the speed of 1M/s, using e.g. a samba share gives
me 9M/s, which at 20G is hours of difference...
i know these two are not for the same purpose, and i should
just use samba when samba is good (like in this intranet case),
but isn't it worthwhile to implement this modus uperandi
into scp (e.g. when copying bulk data over internets)?
