There are several Atheros chipsets, ar5210 is supported already (802.11a only),
ar5212 is on the way (a/b/g): here is a recent commit message (19-feb):

        add support for the atheros ar5212 wireless chipsets. it is not
        finished yet and still misses some channel initialization and
        calibration bits.
