well, this explains the "not-so-obvious". what about renaming it to good
old "gunzip" then? a halfway-functioning gzip misleads rather than it
helps. if it weren't there I wouldn't try to use it. but if it is there
and it's not gunzip, I assume it works, right? plain common sense. that
error msg took me min. an hour to search and read and "heck, is it
specific to my machine or did I miss a step or something" type
questionings...
