Mostly because all the people with free advice do nothing to contribute
anything real.
The rest of us get by pretty well most of the time with a free service
that might have a wrinkle or two but works mostly smoothly. I have
learned plenty over the past 5 years and expect to learn plenty more.
Not bad for a list you think deficient.
Those who know a better way can fork the project code and demonstrate
their ...ahhh... superior... list handling with their own choice of
list-server whilst trying to please their own users at the same time.
