dcraw can convert most digital camera raw files to JPEG, usually
better than what the camera does internally. Also you can
correct white balance after the fact and so on.

Some packages like ImageMagick get ehanced functionality when dcraw
is present. (ImageMagick is the able to process RAW files, like identify
recognize them and display display them)

I'm interrested in test reports (with the source of the RAW file, namely
camera brand and model), a better COMMENT and DESCR and some audit on
the de-(strcat,strcpy,sprintf)ization I did.
