I selected a mirror that's local and up to date and set PKG_PATH to use it.
If the packages aren't there I'll select another mirror -or- I'll roll my own.
There I have revealed my uber process.
This happens very infrequently because I am not as 1337 as most gentoo users.
When I install a box I actually use instead of updating it all day long.
