Here's a preliminary patch which adds support for storing crypted passwords in
the database. There's no md5-specific support in it yet, although I dropped a
pointer in there should anyone want to implement it. However, glibc 2.1
supports md5 password hashes out-of-the-box using the system crypt() function,
so most people don't have a pressing need for this.
