    Hi,

We're no using LDAP, and all lines only list pam_unix.so .
But maybe the problem is different. Our HP-UX-machines use an extension to
the crypted passwords for aging. So a 'ypcat passwd' line looks like

    someuser:6CaKYxdtDRk2E,B/kN:6165:613:My Name:/home/someuser:/bin/ksh

The part after the "," is used for aging (as far as I know by know). Maybe
that can be a problem. Bu why does it only occur when I change my password?

    Bye

    Thorsten

Betreff: Re: Cannot login after password change

    Hi ,
Can you please check what is passwd command configured in PAM
    because
there can be some synchronization problem with the passwd change and the
    login
(authentication) , If passwd command is configured in pam config file to
change the password in ldap then your passwd command will change your
    password
in ldap and not in NIS where you are expecting the change to take place , So
please check whether you are changing the passwd in NIS or not.

    regards
    bandi
