Yeah ive configured nss to work with winbind. works fine under samba etc.
 
in my nss config its set to
 
groups files winbind
 
getent groups works fine, so i know nss is configured to use winbind to get
groups. just this doesnt seem to work :/

group checking uses system groups, usually /etc/group, unless otherwise
configured using the NSS. in your case, the winbind user might not be in
there. I don't know if there is a winbind module for NSS but that would be
the way to go.
