Postfix-19990906-pl04
FreeBSD 3.0-R

Nov 16 00:10:17 home postfix/qmgr[15263]: E8F9D131B7: to=<mfowlerssbb.com=20>, relay=none, delay=31494, status=bounced (bad host/domain syntax: "ssbb.com=20")
Nov 16 00:10:17 home postfix/master[11061]: warning: process /usr/local/postfix/libexec/qmgr pid 15263 killed by signal 11
Nov 16 00:14:54 home postfix/qmgr[15442]: D7FCD1318E: to=<cyndinasmcorp.com=20>, relay=none, delay=36678, status=bounced (bad host/domain syntax: "asmcorp.com=20")
Nov 16 00:14:54 home postfix/master[11061]: warning: process /usr/local/postfix/libexec/qmgr pid 15442 killed by signal 11

I realize that addresses shouldn't contain =20 (encoded space, probably from
a web form?), and moreso that Majordomo should strip them out when sending
mail, but I'm also thinking that Postfix qmgr shouldn't die when it encounters
an address like this. I'd be happy if it bounced the message to postmaster,
or did pretty much anything besides dying with signal 11.

Manually removing the messages with the =20 from the incoming queue stops the
problem, until the next bad address comes thru.

I can provide qmgr -v output if desired (next time one of these gets into my
queue).

My apologies if this has been fixed in one of the newer 19990906 pl's.

Thanks,

Bryan
