For 10 days, yes, but to retry at once after the first failure, no.
However, not all systems are smart enough to know how to backoff and try
less frequently.
BUT, the server was spamming, it wants to get rid of all it's junk asap,
and I don't recall seeing any recommendation for how long to wait before
retrying. I think a minute is exactly what a spammer wants. I personally
think it's then better to send 5yz and tell the spammer to eat his own
ham-in-a-can.
