While we're on the topic of spam, I noticed at the ORBS site the
following comment:
Admins may alternatively set their systems up to tag messages
delivered from open servers as "possibly spam", or just log the
connections.
While blocking mail using ORBS was a disaster for us, and we had to
back out of it, I am intrigued by the comment above. Has anybody
thought of a way to have Postfix tag such mail. I guess this falls
into the same thing as adding headers, which Postfix doesn't
currently do.
Hell, if it could just be logged somehow that would be better than
nothing. Then I could just have a periodic cron job that would send
nastygrams to sites that insisted on being irresponsible.
Oh well, just a thought.
Amos
