I considered it, but I was lazy. :) Since it was just a variation on the
existing LDAP map type, and that map type already has a nice means of giving
configuration parameters to it, it seemed simpler to just make it another
configuration parameter.

I haven't messed with the recipient or virtual maps much yet, but I would
presume that since an LDAP map can normally be used in these, that this
patch shouldn't change that any. I did put in the check to not strip dots
from domain names, so hopefully things will still act as expected if you
search on an LDAP field containing things like "joebobsome.domain.com".
