Definitely one lookup returning all the necessary information, else
performance would suck. I'd thought of extending the dictionary interface
to allow it to return a hash containing multiple key = value pairs. Config
items could tell the SQL and LDAP type maps what fields to return (perhaps
defaulting to all fields in the matching entry/record), and hash type maps
could parse multiple fields according to some (configurable) delimiter.
This approach would allow the virtual local mailer to expand to do nasty
things like quotas, forwarding, auto reply, etc., all from a single data
source.
