Indeed. This discussion is entirely moot if they don't have a
static IP address. If this can't be handled, go to UUCP over TCP.
From an ISP perspective, it's just a lot more reliable and even
worthwhile to get static IP's working. OSPF works wonders. We required
users to call one pop consistantly - but as long as they did that, they
could hit _any_ of our terminal servers at the pop, and get their static
IP, get their mail, and get the heck off. It worked very smoothly, and we
made a bundle from it.
