Welcome to the real world.

Right now several people are working on an RFC draft for logging system
messages. Problems address logging via TCP instead of UDP, log tampering
etc. If I could dig up the URL, I'd post it here. Damn bookmarks.

The people from syslog-ng and core-sdi.com are working on it.

Since I guess Wietse has correctly encapsulated all calls to syslog(),
openlog() and closelog(), you can surely easily add multilog to postfix.

Gotta have a look myself, since I agree that syslog sucks.
