        There's no reason to use bzip2 so long as there are more
compatible compression formats (e.g., gzip, compress, or nothing at
all), unless you can be absolutely certain that everyone in your
audience has and uses bzip2.

        Just because it is not impossible for someone to go download your
compression program of choice does not mean that everyone should be
forced to, in order to deal with your patch.
