Systems that advertise ESMTP and nuke on EHLO are not worth being paid
any attention to. And whoever it is, the who drops connection on EHLO
instead of replying "500 speak plain RFC 821, please", does not deserve
attention either.

Systems will only be fixed if they actually fail because of their
"misfeatures" (read: bugs).

Make users and clients complain!

It's no good to accept other people's (read: Microsoft's in the first
place) subversions of Internet Standards. They will believe they can do
anything to improve their position. They must be shown they're wrong,
else they will finally succeed.
