that's it!, the right hand side of the magic entry was "NULL" (ie, the
right hand column had no data..) as soon as I put in "whatever" it
worked. Mail for _existing_ users _did_ work properly though. The
question now is why was it a signal 11 error? Is it a bug in qmgr or the
mysql map type? What we do know is that it is present in all versions from
19990906 till present. Thank you very much Wietse.

The maps weren't setup the same at all.
