The coolest feature is its absolutely tight bounce processing since it
uses different return paths per user (if this mailinglist would run with
EZMLM, your mails would have Return-Path:
<postfix-users-return-12345-r.hildebrandt=tu-bs.de
postfix.org> with
12345 being the archive number of that message; and if your messages
bounce, EZMLM tracks and records the message numbers that have bounced
and sends you (after something like a million seconds i. e. 11 days)
notifications of the failed deliveries (with archive no.) along with a
copy of the first bounce it received in that interval; if this
notification bounces, you get a probe and if that bounces as well, it
removes your address from the subscription list.
EZMLM allows to request copies of archived messages sending mail to
mailinglist-get.12345
do.main.
Plus, EZMLM is written in C and does not take much CPU and RAM to work.
The way it works for the user is very charming IMO. The implementation
is less charming since it's hard-coded for qmail-queue for message
injection, see Wietse's reply for details on this.
