I recently installed postfix from the ground up on a new Solaris 8 Sparc.
1. I delete the sendmail packages.
2. I setup and compiled postfix.
It works! - there is one slight problem...
mail sent to the postfix box for processing works fine.
mail sent from the command line thru postfix shows up as:
user
machinename.domain.com
instead of:
user
domain.com
I had this trouble once before with sendmail, but since it is NOT installed
anywhere on my system...that cannot be it!
help?
