I'm looking for people who are running postfix in a high workload
environment.
We're currently using sendmail as a mail router between external
and internal systems (basically a one-way relay with no local
delivery). For this application, we're doing about 1.5 million
messages per day currently, and that will probably hit 3 million
messages per day by the end of the year.
Currently, we're using aliases for the routing lookups, but we're
going to be moving our routing servers to LDAP shortly.
I'm looking for something more lightweight to enhance our
scalability. Currently, we can push about 400,000 to 500,000
messages per day through a Ultra 2/E250 (with the queues on a
caching storage array). We are moving to 4 cpu E420Rs and our
initial tests show that we could do about 2 Million messages
per day on that platform.
Does anyone have similar workloads with postfix?
