I have these messages in my daily maillog:
Apr 6 15:55:15 athena postfix/qmgr[6849]: 28BFA1DA87:
to=<majordomo
intergrafix.net>, relay=none, delay=1,
status=deferred (unknown mail transport error)
all with different to= addresses..i noticed one when i tried to send mail
out with /usr/sbin/sendmail -t to a local user and it failed.
i did it again to the same user and then it worked.
looking back through my log archives it look like it only happens with
local domain recipients.
before March 31st around 5pm there isn't 1 log archive with this error..
then daily there's a few hundred entries..500, 600, 400, etc..
so far today though there's 7400!!
I'm using Postfix-19991231-pl05 on linux with transport config pretty much
standard:
best_mx_transport =
default_transport = smtp
defer_transports =
fallback_transport =
local_transport = local
mailbox_transport =
transport_maps =
transport_retry_time = 60
i haven't touched master.cf since i've been using postfix, and haven't
recompiled the program since the morning of march 30th.
any help is appreciated
-Tony
