per-user maildir support was added in 3.14 but there is no provision for
having maildir the default delivery mechanism. eg. in 3.14 a user can
create a ~/.procmailrc file which delivers mail to maildir folder.
however if you want it to be the default delivery mechanism you have to use
3.15 (or concievable some nasty kludge with /etc/procmailrc).
if you know how to do this with 3.14 i would love to hear.
