        In this area, I'd recommend you first read the paper I presented
at SANE'98 entitled "Sendmail Performance Tuning for Large Systems",
available at
<http://www.shub-internet.org/brad/papers/sendmail-tuning/>. Much of
what is presented there is also applicable to Postfix, although this
is not necessarily obvious from the title.
