Subject: serious problem with virtual host support in postfix
From: Donald Ball (balldwebslingerZ.com)

Hiya. I trolled through the archives to see if I could find any mention of
this but as far as I'm aware, I'm the first to be bitten. I've got a mail
system that I moved over to postfix and had been very happy with.
Configuration is a breeze compared to sendmail. Unfortunately, support for
virtual hosts is somewhat broken. My virtual file looks something like
this:

example.com VIRTUAL
example.com userfoo.com

mail to anybodyexample.com works great. mail to anybodyExample.com
bounces, relaying is not allowed. If the capitalization in the domain in
the mail message differs from that appearing in the virtual file, the mail
message is rejected.

I'm using postfix-19991231-5mdk. I will be happy to upgrade to a later
version if it corrects this behavior. If anyone has any workarounds to
suggest, I'm _all_ ears.
