I have the pop3 working ok, and I'm getting and receiving mail with the
virtual users as well.
My next question regards the output of the "From:" section of the virtual
user's email sent to anyone.
If I have a user logging in on his computer at home and using Outlook
Express to send and read mail, I want to allow the user to send mail to
anyone with his domain address in the mail form. For example, I have user
"pony" on my server as "pony
vivid-eye.com", and everything is set up so
that anyone mailing to kevin
ponyexpressdelivery.com has their mail sent
to user "pony". Now, when Kevin checks his mail at home, he logs in as
"pony" then downloads his mail. If he wants to reply to any of the
emails, the recipients will see mail from "pony
vivid-eye.com". But I
don't want that. I want the recipients to see mail coming from
"kevin
ponyexpressdelivery.com".
What do I need to do so that when Kevin sends mail though his "pony"
account on my server (from his own computer, not while on my server), it
changes the name of the sender to "kevin
ponyexpressdelivery.com"?
Is this done in "aliases" somehow?
Thanks.
James
