Subject: postfix on Debian/exim

I recently installed postfix on debian 2.2.1 (Which came with exim).

It compiled fine and launches fine. Sends email fine.

However, command line mail fails:

jefficehouse:~$ mail jeff
Subject: test
test message
.

jefficehouse:~$ 2000-06-01 08:52:45 Failed to open configuration file
/etc/exim.conf
2000-06-01 08:52:45 Failed to open configuration file /etc/exim.conf
exim: could not open panic log - aborting: original error above

When I installed Debian, i chose not to setup Exim at all. During Postfix
install, I set the sendmail path as default ( /usr/lib/sendmail )

I am running Postfix CHROOT.

Any thoughts on this? - also, how the heck do I remove Exim permanently?

Thank you in advance.
