This exact command runs fine on FreeBSD 3.4-RELEASE (being new
to FreeBSD, this is what I chose because you wrote somewhere that
you feel more comfortable with it :-) on an old, vanilla PC
(Pentium 133, 128MB RAM, Adaptec 2940A, Seagate ST34520N).
Time was 1'20" using SoftUpdates (12.5 msgs/sec).
Kernel has maxusers=256, and I have not fiddled with anything else.
