Hi *,
I'm trying to evaluate which MUAs work with the latest postfix snapshot
using SASL to do the SMTP authentication. As I don't have access (or even
know of) to many MUAs, I'd like to ask people on this list to post short
info about MUAs actually working/not working with the above mechanism.
I'm planning to create a list of such clients and post it on a website as well as
recommend our customers one of those compliant MUAs. If it is possible, I would
like to get the information in the following format:
Name: Netscape Messenger
Version: 4.73
URL: http://home.netscape.com/
License: freely distributable
OS: MS Windows, Linux, SunOS, FreeBSD, etc...
Auth: yes
So far, only Netscape Messenger works with the latest Postfix using
authetication - Outlook Express from MS Office (5.00) doesn't work, Eudora
PRO also fails to use the AUTH mechanism.
thank you in advance,
marek
