As an addition to my previous email, the folowing logs
may provide further info. Thanks again.

==== /var/log/maillog ==

connect from main.rbdomain.com[192.168.0.1]
warning: host mail.banner.com[192.168.0.1] greeted me
with my own
         hostname main.rbdomain.com
warning: host mail.banner.com[192.168.0.1] replied to
HELO/EHLO with
         my own hostname main.rbdomain.com
692371DE23: to=<omarmail.banner.com>,
relay=mail.banner.com[192.168.0.1], delay=0,
         status=bounced (mail for mail.banner.com
loops back to myself)
postfix/smtpd[1559]: lost connection after EHLO from
main.rbdomain.com[192.168.0.1]

I still get "..loops back to me.." errors despite
following what the manual says (i think). My virtual
domain is banner.com which resolves to the same IP as
my postfix host (main.rbdomain.com -> 192.168.0.1).
Here are lines of interest in main.cf:

daemon_directory = /usr/libexec/postfix
myhostname = main.rbdomain.com
myorigin = $mydomain
mydestination = $mydomain localhost.$mydomain
relay_domains = $mydestination
mynetworks = 192.168.0.0/24, 127.0.0.0/8
virtual-maps = hash:/etc/postfix/virtual

my /etc/postfix/virtual verbatim:
banner.com anything
mail.banner.com anything

I did postmap /etc/postfix/virtual, postfix reload...

Am i missing something? Thanks for any help.

Omar Mercado
