Subject: ANNOUNCE: perl extensions for postfix
From: Daniele Orlandi (danieleorlandi.com)

Hello,

I wrote a small patch to add perl interpretation services to postfix.
Currently it can only be used to filter UCE at SMTP level, but I will
probably add other hooks in the future, e.g. to add perl maps.

You can find the patch and other details at http://www.xt.net/perlext/

I currently use the perl extensions to access a SQL database with common
and user-customized spam filters and to log rejects so that each user
can see all his mail that has been rejected.

Consider this as beta-quality software. It works pretty well on my
systems, but it hasn't been tested on architectures different from Linux
2.2.x on Intel and Sparc.

If you're going to try it, please let me know of any bug you will
certainly find.

Regards,
